Introducing Mia

The Bobbsey Twins -Baby (left) & Mia (Right)

For thanksgiving this year I got a new dog which I have named Mia. She a Bichon-Poo (my dream dog) and the sweetest ball of fur I have ever met.

My family decided that it was time for Baby our other dog ( 4 yr old, jack-a-poo) to have a playmate and sister if you will. Baby is one of those dogs that is more of a house dog and she was starting to believe that she was human. She needed another dog in her life to make her social with other dogs and to remind her that she IS also a dog.

The first week was rough on baby, she couldnt even be in the same room as Mia... Since I was the one who went to pick up Mia from the breeder she quickly adopted me as her mom. Baby ofcourse noticed and resented me for at least 2weeks because Mia required more of my attention. However, Baby has since warmed up to Mia, about the 3rd week in she was coming around a bit more... I think she finally realized that this new pup in town was here for good !

Now after 6 weeks they play, eat, walk and do everything together (like the bobbsey twins) its really cute to see them sharing treats, toys and doggie beds. They care and give each other eskimo kisses... I decided to enroll Mia into puppy school and when she comes home I like to practice her homework with her, Baby like to join in too.
Mia has really helped bring Baby back to behaving like a real dog... She is a blessing to our lives and shes My little girl.

Welcome Home Mia !

I just recently went through the same ordeal. My first dog, Kate, wasn't too fond of Uma at first, but now they get along great and are companions for one another when we're not home. It's tough when I have to tie them both out though, because they bark that they want to be near each other, and when I put them near each other there leashes get tangled together. I want to let them run around my yard without a leash, but I don't want a fenced in yard. I think I'm going to get an electric fence soon. I found this one that apparently has a really easy set up, which is perfect for me! http://www.havahartwireless.com/shop/wireless-dog-fence/custom-shape-pet-fence
