Looking at these pictures makes me want to go away; I haven’t
gone to a beach in about two years. I think I’m due for some sun, sand and
relaxation. Sigh, a girl could only dream...

Happy New Year!!! 2010
I rang in the New Year with my parents, brother and my boyfriend at home. It was quiet and relaxed; we had dinner and ate paella, chipotle shrimp, two kinds of salad and wine. We talked a lot over dinner, rang in the New Year and ended the night with a board game. Today I had lunch with some of my gf we were going to go to the movies but it was such lazy day and I still had tons of food at my house so I had them come over for lunch. We talked lots about babies in our families, maternal clocks, weddings and working out, vitamins, cooking and many other things.2009 was a great year; I am pleased with everything that happened… I learned so much in school this past year and had so many experiences working at the hospital. I traveled with my bf to new places and saw many, many, many awesome concerts. Met new people, found a job, joined a gym and the absolute best thing that happened is that I fell in love with an amazing guy. I am really lucky to have great friends and this summer was the first time that all the girls were together again. I’m really excited and looking forward to see what the New Year will bring for me… and I’m anticipating graduation day.

Je T'aime....
My boyfriend asked me if I could leave a little free time in my schedule because he wanted to take me somewhere for the weekend. Unfortunately August is ALWAYS my busiest month for dance so I find it merely impossible to just walk away from it for an entire weekend. So we negotiated and came up with leave on Friday come back late Saturday, which worked really well for me.
So the whole week I was trying to figure out where he was going to take me and I came up with 3 possible ideas 1. Niagara (falls or on the lake) 2. Up north somewhere, not camping but to a resort/lodge/ B& B type place OR 3. Montreal..... It was Montreal!!!He kept it a secret and it was a good surprise, I really loved it. I honestly had my mind set on Niagara and since I have never been to Montreal but always wanted to go I was pleasantly surprised when I realized where we were going.
Montreal is everything I had imagined it to be and more... As a child I remember spending time with an aunt in Québec city. I remember it to this day even though that took place in my early childhood years. I must have been no much older that 6yrs and I remember vividly the beauty and charm of the city. It must have made such an impression on me to have these memories etched in my mind to this day.
So from those memories I had an idea of what Montreal should look like. What I saw was beautiful; it was old and new at the same time. A perfectly executed combination of old world charm meets new modern chic. The architecture is absolutely amazing; the energy of the city is so vibrant and full of life. I love to hear groups of girls or people talking to each other in French. The food well let just say I think I can live off of Crêpes and poutine for a good while.
After having a little dab of Montreal I come to realize that asides the French name that I hold I might have been French in my past life... maybe even French Canadian. I love the language, food, eating baguettes with cheese especially brie, don’t get me started on the patisseries, and Wine...let not forget the romance! Now tell me how can anyone get that wrong? Somewhere in my heart there is a fleur the lies and I love my wonderful bf for taking me on this wondrous delightful trip even though it was as short as it was.

I heart Cubaaaa!!!
So after a crazy month of finals I made a well needed escape to Cuba. My boyfriend and I had been talking about going away somewhere, and he found a great deal and next thing I knew I was Cuba bound. We went to Cayo Coco and it was just what I needed... Sun, Beach, tanning and lots of RUM!!! Yum! We went for a week to Oasis Playa Coco and it was a nice 4 star resort. Spending every day relaxing at the Beach was the best part of the trip and was worth it, being under the sun, feeling the sand in between your toes, swimming in warm salt water TOTALLY worth every penny!!!

We had so much fun even though it was just us two, I feel that after this trip with “B” it’s drawn us closer and I’m so glad that I got to spend the time that I did with him. I don’t think it would have been the same with anyone else. I would go anywhere with him because he’s a great travel partner and just as always we were laughing at something everyday and just having a good old time. I was afraid that spending so much time together I would come to learn of a habit of his that would drive me nuts or maybe by a certain day we would just get sick of being with each other. However, it was the complete opposite and I love him more now than before this trip even happened. I look forward to many more trips with my SUN GOD of a boyfriend (he’s like a tanning King!).lol
Some highlights of our trip hmmm so many things...RUM!!! All day, any time... RUM PUNCH, Pina Coladas, Miami Vice, Mojitos, Rum and coke, slushies with Rum, fruit juice with rum and well just any drink with RUM. Mmmmmm!
The Beach - sand, waves and Sunshine!!!
Resort Dance shows – On one particular night there was this drunk guy Dancing Man it was too funny!
Snorkelling – On our last day we went snorkelling and although I had fun, unfortunately we got pushed into shallow coral reef by some crazy waves... We both touched fire coral but I got the worst of it. Cuts on my leg and now I’m taking medication for a Neurotoxic infection in my leg from the coral. I have Neuropathic damage to the nerves in my left leg and I’m also taking steroid treatment for a chemical allergic reaction to the coral reef which made my skin flare up into hives, blisters and bright red patches.
I miss relaxing at the Beach everyday : ( and taking countless naps!
