Introducing Mia

The Bobbsey Twins -Baby (left) & Mia (Right)

For thanksgiving this year I got a new dog which I have named Mia. She a Bichon-Poo (my dream dog) and the sweetest ball of fur I have ever met.

My family decided that it was time for Baby our other dog ( 4 yr old, jack-a-poo) to have a playmate and sister if you will. Baby is one of those dogs that is more of a house dog and she was starting to believe that she was human. She needed another dog in her life to make her social with other dogs and to remind her that she IS also a dog.

The first week was rough on baby, she couldnt even be in the same room as Mia... Since I was the one who went to pick up Mia from the breeder she quickly adopted me as her mom. Baby ofcourse noticed and resented me for at least 2weeks because Mia required more of my attention. However, Baby has since warmed up to Mia, about the 3rd week in she was coming around a bit more... I think she finally realized that this new pup in town was here for good !

Now after 6 weeks they play, eat, walk and do everything together (like the bobbsey twins) its really cute to see them sharing treats, toys and doggie beds. They care and give each other eskimo kisses... I decided to enroll Mia into puppy school and when she comes home I like to practice her homework with her, Baby like to join in too.
Mia has really helped bring Baby back to behaving like a real dog... She is a blessing to our lives and shes My little girl.

Welcome Home Mia !

Aww Baby!

So I come home from school and I notice my dog doesnt come down the stairs to greet me as always. Shes sitting at the top of the stairs and she shows me her little leg and grimaces. I automatically assume she hurt herself and look for a possible fracture in her legs. After inspecting her leg I realize that it has to be something else. I notice her following me but only walking on 3 legs so my concern moves to her foot.

I notice that there are small bloody paw prints on the floor and I follow the tracks I notice that they start in my rents bedroom. I start getting worried cus she starts shivering so I make call to her vet to see if I can take her in. Long story short my mom droped a picture frame and the glass shattered she cleaned it up but we suspect that a shard of glad was hidding under the bed and since Baby like to hide there we think thats where she cut her paw. She went to the Animal Hospital and got 4 stiches and her foot bandaged.

Now shes walking on 3 legs like a gimp and she looks cute but has a depressed look on her face.

Awwwwww Baaaby!
